Miss Sauer Weds At Rite
Mr. and Mrs. William F. Sauer announced today the marriage of their charming daughter, Miss Myra Sauer, and Mr. Vlad Ratay, which took place Monday, December 22, at the Unitarian Church in Seattle, Wash. The weddinig [sic] was attended only by members of the wedding party, who, following the ceremony, attended a wedding luncheon at the Hotel Meany in Seattle.
The attractive bride wore for her wedding a suit
of seafoam green with matching feather hat and other accessories of
brown. Her flowers were gardenias. Her only attendant was Miss
Virginia De Tar of Seattle, who wore moss green, accented with
gardenias. Mr. Sauer, father of the bride, stood with the bridegroom
as best man. Mrs. Sauer wore for her daughter's wedding a teal blue
frock with matching accessories and a corsage of pink
rosebuds.
The altar of the church was decorated with
pionsettas [sic] and red candles.
Mrs. Ratay is a graduate of the Reno schools and University of Nevada, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She engaged in social service work in Nevada, after which she was head of the state child welfare work in New Mexico. For the past six months, she has been attending the University of Washington as a graduate student, working for her master's degree in social studies. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sauer, are among the best known residents of Washoe Valley.
Mr. Ratay is district consultant for the Federal
Social Security Board with headquarters in San Francisco. His
territory covers the Hawaiian Islands and Alaska and the west coast.
He is a native of France, and his parents reside there.
Mr. and Mrs. Ratay are spending their honeymoon
motoring through the Pacific Northwest, after which they will reside
in San Francisco.
Mr. and Mrs. William F. Sauer, who went to Seattle
for the wedding, returned Tuesday night.
