Pretty Geffert-Lackner Wedding was Solemnized Last Saturday Evening
Miss Vera Geffers[sic], daughter of Mrs. F. W. Geffers [sic], 204 West St. James street, Arlington Heights, and Mr. William Lackner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lackner, 303 N. Vail street, were married at the home of the bride Saturday, Jan. 25, at 5 o’clock. The Rev. Rudolph Gerffert of Harvey, Ill., brother of the bride, conducted the ceremony.
The house was decorated in white streamers, wedding bells, flowers, and palms.
The bride wore a pale pink chiffon dress and a wreath of orange blossoms; and carried a bouquet of white freesias [sic]. The maid of honor, Miss Julia Geffert, sister of the bride, wore a dress of pale green chiffon and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Mr. Erwin Meyer was best man.
A reception was held immediately after the wedding at the bride’s mother’s home about 30 guests being present. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Reincke and daughter Arleen of Fort Wayne, Ind. Mrs. Reincke being a sister of the bride and the Rev. Geffert and family from Harvey, Ill.
The reception was followed by the wedding supper at the home of the groom’s parents.
The newlyweds are at home in their attractive new home at 41? South Dunton street, Mr. Lackner’s newspaper business requiring his constant attention.
