Edward T. Friese

Services for Edward T. Friese, late of 715 N. Highland ave., Arlington Heights, were held Sunday from Karstens funeral home to St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran church. Rev. L. V. Stephan officiated and interment was in St. Peter cemetery.

Mr. Friese was born March 21, 1875 in Arlington Heights. He was confirmed at St. Peter church. In May of 1896 he was married to Anny Meyer of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, and they made their home in Arlington Heights all of their married life. Until the time of his retirement Mr. Friese was a tinsmith for a large manufacturer of fire fighting equipment. He died June 16 following a prolonged illness.

Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Raymond and Gilbert.

Funeral services for Anna Friese, nee Meyer, will be held Saturday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Black’s Memorial home, Northwest hwy. and Vail, Arlington Heights. The Rev. L.V. Stephan will officiate.

Mrs. Friese was born in Reedsburg, Wis., June 13, 1878 and was united in marriage to Edward T. Friese by the Rev. E. Roeder of Arlington Heights May 24, 1896. They made their home in Arlington Heights for 45 years until the death of her husband June 16, 1949. Mrs. Friese moved back to Reedsburg where she died April 24 after attaining the age of 77 years, 10 months, and 11 days. She leaves 2 children, Gilbert and Raymond and a niece, Mrs. Emily Wilke.

Interment will be in St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran cemetery.
