The death of Mrs. Mary A. Scholfield occurred at her late residence, 57 South Water street, Friday afternoon after a short illness of pneumonia. Mrs. Scholfield was born in Scotland and since her arrival in this country made her home in Pattrson [sic], N.J. While visiting her daughter in this city she was stricken ill with influenza, which developed into pneumonia and terminated in her death. She is survived by four sons, Alfred, Leonard and Fred of this city and James of Stroudsburg, Pa., and two daughters, Mrs. William De Schepper and Mrs. Peter Hascup of this city, and three brothers, John Greig, Charles Grieg and James Greig, and two sisters, Miss Jennie Greig and Mrs. Fred Meseareau [sic], to whom the sympathy of all is extended in their bereavement. Funeral services will be held in the mortuary home of Cox and Smith, 175 Meadow street, Monday afternoon at 2:30 oclock. Rev. H.M. Hancock of the Grace M.E. church will be the officiating clergyman and interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Wallingford - Alfred Booth Norris, 88, husband of the late Vesta E. Moore Norris of 7 Penthighway, Wallingford died at Prakview Medical Recovery Center Saturday Sept. 15, 1973.
He was born in Paterson, N.J., February 10, 1895, the son the late Nelson and Mary Ann Grieg [sic] Norris. He retired as a yard brakeman for the New Haven Railroad in 1959.
He is survived by a brother Leonard Norris of South Stroudsburg, Pa., and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at Beecher and Bennett, 100 Broadway, Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.

Mrs. Gladys E. Adams, 41, of 474 Normal St., East Stroudsburg, wife of Jasper Adams, died at 12:20 p.m. Saturday in Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA. She had been ill for two weeks.
Mrs. Adams, a lifelong resident of the Stroudsburgs, donated her eyes to the Northeast Pennsylvania Lions Eye Bank, Inc. The eyes were taken to the Wills Hospital, Philadelphia.
Mrs. Adams was a daughter of the late James and Edith Dower Norris. She was a member of the Stroudsburg Methodist Church.

Shirley Jane Crosby went to heaven on Easter Sunday, March 24th 2008.
Born in 1936 in Stroudsburg, PA to Jasper and Gladys Adams, she was the oldest of 5 children.
Friends may call on Tuesday (March 25), from 4-7 PM at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street, Phelps. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be on Wednesday at 10AM at Park Presbyterian Church in Newark. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Chet in Resthaven Cemetery in Phelps.
She was a dedicated teacher in the Phelps-Clifton Springs school district for 30 years. She was a devoted member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Sorority.
She was a past president of the Omega Chapter and served as State Parliamentarian. She also belonged to the Finger Lakes Chorale, the Phelps Clifton Springs Community Theater, the Phelps Croquet Club and the Phelps-Clifton Springs Retired Teachers Association. She was a past president of the Phelps Rotary Club and a current member of the Newark Rotary Club. She was an advocate for organ donations and did many presentations throughout the area. She was voted the Phelps/Clifton Springs Business and Professional Women’s Club Woman of the Year in 1999. She was active in the United Church of Phelps for many years and was a current member of Park Presbyterian Church.
The path to heaven was paved for her by her soul mate, Chet Crosby, her parents Gladys and Jasper and her sisters, Joan Tuthill, Jean Adams and Elvene Kresge. She will be forever remembered by her children, Scott Milsom, Tracy and John Clingerman, her grandchildren, Sean Milsom and Chloe Pieters. Her step granchildren, Karli and Zackery Clingerman. Her step-daughters Rachel Riccione, Susan, Julie and Vivian Crosby. Her uncle John Adams. Her brother Bill ( Ruth) Adams. Several nieces and nephews. Her close circle of friends who held her in constant light, her loving sisters in Delta Kappa Gamma, her devoted caregivers at the Geneva Dialysis Center and the Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic.

HAINES CITY -- Ms. Jean Eileen Adams of Haines City died of heart failure Saturday (Sept. 23, 2006) in Haines City. She was 69.
Born in Stroudsburg, Pa., on May 17, 1937, she came to Haines City from Monroe County 10 years ago. She was a maintenance worker for General Electric. She was a member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.
Ms. Adams is survived by her sons, Perry Singer, East Stroudsburg, Pa., Michael Singer, Miami; daughter, Amanda Singer, East Stroudsburg; brothers, Jeffrey Adams, Scranton, Pa., William Adams, East Stroudsburg; sister, Shirley Crosby, Clifton Springs, N.Y.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Jean Eileen Adams, 69, of Haines City, FL and formerly of Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday, September 23, in her home in Florida.
Born on May 17, 1937 in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Gladys E. (Land) Adams and had lived in Monroe County all of her life before moving to Haines City, FL ten years ago. A graduate of Stroudsburg High School, she had been a waitress at various restaurants including Bradley's in Bartonsville and the Elks in East Stroudsburg. She last worked for General Electric in Stroud Township and had last worked for Ronson in Delaware Water Gap. In Florida, she had worked as a caregiver.
Jean was a member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Perry Singer of East Stroudsburg and Michael Singer of Miami, FL; a daughter, Amanda Singer of East Stroudsburg; grandchildren, Rachel Packard, Andrea Packard and Raymond Packard; great grandchildren, Alexander Torres and Tyler Valley; two brothers, Jeffrey Adams of Scranton and William Adams of East Stroudsburg; a sister, Shirley Crosby of Clifton Springs, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elvene Kresge, and her twin sister, Joan Tuthill.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 29, at 2:00PM in the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with the Rev. Thomas E. Anderman officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.

Elvene E. Kresge, 63, of Saylorsburg, passed away Wednesday, June 22, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
Born Feb. 22, 1942, in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jasper L. and Gladys E. (Land) Adams. She lived in the area all of her life.
She had worked as an assembler for Ronson Corp., East Stroudsburg; as a waitress at the Elks Club, East Stroudsburg; and then owned and operated a restaurant in Phelps, N.Y.
Elvene had great interest and love for her family, their endeavors and travels.
Surviving are her partner of more than 30 years, Kathleen Fehr; one daughter, Malinda Brodt and her husband, Jack, of Stroudsburg; one son, Todd Kresge and his wife, Kelly, of Stroudsburg; two brothers, William Adams and his wife, Ruth, of Stroudsburg, and Jeff Adams of Scranton; two sisters, Shirley Crosby of Clifton Springs, N.Y., and Jean Adams of Haines City, Fla.; one grandson, Craig Brodt of Stroudsburg; one granddaughter, Tiffany Brodt of Stroudsburg; many nieces and nephews; and former husband, Lowell Kresge of Stroudsburg. She was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Tuthill.
Graveside services and burial will take place at noon Friday, June 24, in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. Cremation will be held at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

Jack E. Brodt, 53, of Saylorsburg, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21, as a result of a car accident on Kunkletown Road in Saylorsburg. He was the husband of Malinda (Kresge) Brodt. They had been married 25 years.
Born in Easton on Sept. 4, 1954, he was the son of Virginia (Stocker) Brodt of Wind Gap and the late Clymer Brodt.
He graduated in 1972 from Nazareth High School in Nazareth. Jack had worked as a first-class electrician at Buzzi Unicern in Stockertown for the past 34 years. He received the cement worker of the year award. He attended St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Saylorsburg. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Cherry Valley Rod and Gun Club in Cherry Valley and the East Bath Rod and Gun Club in Bath. He was also a member of the NRA.
In addition to his loving wife, Malinda, and mother, Virginia, he is survived by son Craig Allen Brodt of Amsterdam, N.Y.; daughter Tiffany Lee Brodt of Saylorsburg; brother Michael Brodt of Wind Gap; father-in-law Lowell Kresge of Stroudsburg; brother-in-law Todd Kresge of Stroudsburg; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Route 209, Gilbert, with Pastor KeyOne Yu officiating. Born on May 28, 1936, in Analomink, he was the son of the late Samuel H. Sr. and Ruth (Ehrgood) Strunk and had lived in Monroe County all of his life where he was a general contractor. A graduate of Stroudsburg High School, he was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army Military Police. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1336, Stroud Township, and the Hit or Miss Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed bowling and golf. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Troy Strunk and his wife, Shelly, of East Stroudsburg, Trish Strunk of Stroudsburg, Kim Strunk of California, Lisa Musician of Kunkletown and Fred Strunk Jr. of Georgia; three brothers, Ronald C. Strunk of Analomink, Harold Strunk of Stroudsburg and Samuel Strunk Jr. of East Stroudsburg; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was a mixer at the former Federal Paper Board Manufacturing Co. in New Haven before retiring in 1965. He was a member of Adelphi-Momauguin Lodge 63, AF&AM, and the Connecticut State Guard during World War II. Mr. Maturo is survived by sons, Alfred N. Maturo of Guilford, Edward L. Maturo of Southington, Thomas S. Maturo of Hollywood, Fla., William D. Maturo of Cheshire, Robert J. Maturo of East Haven and Peter J. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Virginia DeSchepper Maturo, 76, of S.W. 12th Court, formerly of New Haven, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1995, at Broward General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Rocco P. Maturo.
She had lived in Florida since 1983, when she retired from the Mary Wade Home, New Haven.
While in New Haven she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Foxon Congregational Church.
Daughter of the late William E. DeSchepper and Fanny Norris DeSchepper, she was born in New Haven May 22, 1919.
Besides her husband, she leaves six sons, Alfred Maturo of Guilford, Conn., Edward Maturo of New Haven, Thomas Maturo of Fort Lauderdale, William Maturo of Cheshire, Conn., Robert Maturo of East Haven, Conn., and Peter Maturo of Branford, Conn; four brothers, Raymond Locke of Olmstead Falls, Ohio’ Ernest and Robert
Locke, both of New Haven; and Warren Locke of Prospect, Conn.; a sister, Eunice Hahn of North Haven, Conn.; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Locke; and a sister, Mary Szirbik.

HAMDEN - A private graveside service will be held Saturday for Mary Norris Szirbik, 73, of Maple Street, who died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1995, at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Stephen Szirbik.
The service will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Beecher & Bennett, 2300 Whitney Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Szirbik was born in New Haven Feb. 7, 1921, and lived in Hamden since 1984. She previously resided in New Haven and Bethany.
She retired in 1985 as a nurse’s aide in the newborn infant intensive care unit of Yale-New Haven Hospital where she worked for 20 years.
She leaves two sons, Floyd Smith of Titusville, Fla., and Kenneth Szirbik of Great Falls, Mont.; and two sisters, Eunice Hahn of Hamden and Virginia Maturo of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four brothers, Raymond Locke of Cleveland, Robert Locke and Ernest Locke, both of New Haven, and Warren Locke of Prospect; six grandchildren and nine great-grandhcildren.

Obituary - Stephen Szirbik, 76
Services will be held Thursday for Stephen Szirbik, 76, of New Haven, who died Sunday at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Mary D. Szirbik.
A military funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. in Beecher & Bennett funeral home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden.
Mr. Szirbik was born in New Haven, May 3, 1908, son of the late George and Elizabeth Farkus Szirbik, and was a longtime resident of New Haven. He was a retired self-employed landscaper, and at one time worked for the former Westville Nurseries.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Post 71, American Legion , and Post 1684, VFW, West Haven.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mary Anne Cameron of Wallingford; two sons, Floyd C. Smith of Naugatuck, and Kenneth A. Szirbik of Naples, Italy; six sisters, Margaret Jones of Guildfor, Alice Mulvey, Irene Bacon and Jean Clark, all of West Haven, Rose Harrison of North Haven and June Verab of Bethany; four brothers, George Szirbik of Woodbridge, Alexander Szirbik of Bethany, Jospeh Szirbik of Maine and William Szirbik of Litchfield; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Floyd C. Smith, III - Merritt Island - Floyd C. Smith, III, 68, died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at home. He moved to Brevard County in 1986 from Connecticut and recently worked as a Wal-Mart people greeter trying to make others smile. He previously worked for Met Con (metal construction) in Cocoa, as a structural draftsperson, etc. Floyd is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Margie; his sons, Chuck and Christopher Smith of CT; brother, Kenneth Szirbik of MT; seven grandchildren; Margie's children, David Ritenburg and Diana Jaspers. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many very special friends. Floyd was a Past Exalted Ruler in Connecticut Elks and a member of Elks #2650 in Merritt Island. Memorial service will be Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 5 p.m. at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, Cocoa. Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie R. Norris Locke, wife of Joseph L. Locke, who died at her home, 56 Dewitt Street, Sunday afternoon, will be held in the parlors of Beecher & Bennett, 100 Broadway, tomorrow at 2. The Rev. Wendell J. Clark, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, of which she was a member, will officiate, and interment will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Besides her husband, Mrs. Locke is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Rocco Maturo of this City, Mrs. Stephen Szirbik of Bethany and Mrs. Edward Hahn [step-daughter] of Hamden; four [step-] sons, Raymond L. Locke, Ernest B. Locke [sic] and Warren Locke, all of this City, and Robert E. Locke of Oklahoma City; a sister, Mrs. Peter Hascup of New Jersey; two brothers, Alfred B. Norris of this city and Leonard Norris of Stroudsburg, Pa.; and fourteen grandchildren. Mrs. Locke was born in Paterson, N.J., but had made her home in this City for 33 years.

EAST HAVEN – Joseph L. Locke, 92, of 1270 North High St., a machinist at Eastern Screw Co. for 40 years before retiring 25 years ago, died Tuesday at a convalescent home in Wallingford after a long illness. He was the husband of Josephine Coelle Locke.
Mr. Locke was born in New Haven, July 16, 1889, son of the late Thomas and Mary Jane Johns Locke, and resided in New Haven for most of his life before moving to East Haven three years ago.
He was a member of Gold Star Fathers and a communicant of Our Lady of Pompeii Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves six daughters, Mrs. Edward (Eunice) Hahn of Hamden, Mrs. Stephen (Mary) Szirbik and Mrs. Rocco (Virginia) Maturo, both of New Haven, Mrs. Patrick (Jane) O’Leary, Mrs. Robert (Frances) Noonan and Mrs. John (Ann) Torello, all of East Haven; four sons, Raymond Locke of Cleveland, Ohio, Ernest Locke, Robert Locke and Warren Locke, all of New Haven; a brother, Thomas Locke of East Haven; 26 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Stanley Locke; a sister Ethel Werme; and three brothers, William, Earl and John Locke.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday morning at 9 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, East Haven. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. EAST HAVEN - Stanley (Bob) R. Cameron Jr., 48, of St. Andrew Ave., East Haven, passed away suddenly in Somers Point, N.J., Sunday , June 17, 2007.
Stanley was born in New Haven, May 27, 1959, the son of the late Stanley and Mary Anne Smith Cameron. He had worked as a machine operator in the textile industry and was a member of several local drum and bugle corps.
He was the father of Amanda Nicole Cameron and Patricia Noel Cameron, both of Wallingford; brother of MaryBeth Salisbury of Wallingford; uncle of Krysten Bruneau; and beloved companion of Donna Esposito. Also survived by his godparents, Floyd and Doris Smith; and many aunts; uncle; and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughters, Gabrielle Marie and Cynthia Agnes Cameron; and a sister, Cindy Marie Cameron.

Fire leaves 2 children dead, 2 adults injured
WETHERSFIELD (AP) - Fire officials are investigating a house fire that left two young children dead and their mother and grandmother injured, authorities said.
Cynthia Cameron, 2, and Gabrielle Cameron, 3, died at Hartford Hospital of injuries suffered in the fire, which was reported shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.
The exact cause of death was not available, but they were treated for smoke inhalation and burns when they arrived at the hospital, the spokeswoman said.
Their mother, Cecilea Cameron, 26, and their maternal grandmother, Agnes Kycia, 62, were treated for smoke inhalation and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The fire apparently started in the kitchen of the two-story house, fire officials said.
CAMERON. Gabrielle M. Cameron, 3 1/2, and Cynthia A. Cameron, 2, both of 241 Highland St., Wethersfield, died Wednesday (Nov. 26) as a result of a fire at their home. Both children were born in New Haven and had lived in Wethersfield. They are both survived by their Cecelia (Kycia) Cameron of Wethersfield; their father, Stanley Robert Cameron Jr. of Wallingford; their maternal grandmother, Agnes Kycia of Wethersfield; their paternal grandparents, Mary Ann and Stanley Cameron, both of Wallingford; also aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield, where a mass of the Angels will be celebrated. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Mrs. Kathryn E. Norris, 66, of 120 1/2 Huston Ave., Stroudsburg, died Saturday in the General Hospital of Monroe County.
She was the wife of Leonard Norris. Born in Scranton, a daughter of the late John and Anne E. Shamp Walter, she has been a Stroudsburg resident most of her life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Richard Norris, of Shawnee-on-Delaware; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Beers of Easton; one sister, Mrs. Charlotte Cramer, of Wooddale, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Lanterman Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg, with Rev. Norman R. Savage officiating. Burial will be in Stroudsburg Cemetery. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Dorothy A. "Dolly" Beers, 80, of Quakertown, formerly of Easton, Pa, died of natural causes on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Belle Haven Nursing Home, Quakertown. Born: On June 7, 1927 in Stroudsburg, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Kathryn Walter Norris. Personal: Her husband, Walter, died on May 27, 1995. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a cafeteria worker at Easton Area Middle School, Easton School District. Survivors: She is survived by three sons, Stephen Robertson of Harleysville, Grieg R. Robertson and his wife Kim of Castle Rock, Co, and Michael W. Robertson and his wife Katya of Sardinia, Italy; 12 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. A brother, William Norris, drowned as a child. A brother, Richard Norris, died earlier, and a sister, Muriel, died in infancy. Services: Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton, Pa.

Warren B. Robertson, 84, of Nazareth, formerly of Bethlehem Township, Pa, died on Monday, December 5, 2005 in Easton Hospital. Born: On July 14, 1921 in Neola, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Ida Hufsmith Robertson.
Personal: His wife, the former Olive Opitz, died in 1988. He was a patternmaker for Ingersoll-Rand, Phillipsburg for 42 years, retiring in 1983. He graduated from Chestnut Hill High School, Brodheadsville, in 1939 and served in the Navy during World War II in the Mediterranean and Pacific Theatres. Memberships: Warren was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Easton, where he was a member of the Pastor Parish
Relations and Finance committees. He was a member of VFW Post #739 and Cooties, Pup Tent #13, Bangor.
Survivors: He is survived by his companion, Elaine Dow; four sons, Michael Robertson of Sardinia, Italy, Stephen Robertson of Telford, Grieg Robertson of Castle Rock, Co, and Alvin "Skip" Fairchild of Easton; nine
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services: Will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Ashton Funeral Home, 14th & Northampton Sts., Easton. Call on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Easton Heights Cemetery.

Bonnie Lou Knowles, 52, of Stroudsburg, died Thursday, November 30, at her brother's home in Kunkletown.
Born on March 3, 1954, in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of Catherine (Metzgar) Knowles, of Stroudsburg and the late Earl R. Knowles. She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
Bonnie worked for the Head Start Program of Monroe County and the daycare center at Effort United Methodist Church. In addition to her mother she is survived by three children, Jennifer Norris, of Oak Harbor, WA, Michael Knowles, of Stroudsburg and Jason Knowles and his wife Cheryl, of Seaford, DE; six grandchildren, Joseph Spano, Joshua Spano, Kaithly Knowles, Michael Knowles, Faith Knowles and Kris Knowles; seven brothers, Roger Knowles, Ray Knowles, Floyd Knowles, Pete Knowles, Dale Knowles, Paul Knowles and Mike Knowles; many nieces and nephews and her former husband, Michael Knowles, of Millsboro, DE. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Cindy Sue Knowles and Kathy Knowles and three brothers, Richard Knowles, Kevin Knowles and Austin Knowles. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 6, at 7:30PM from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with Rev. Carole Ann Wood officiating. Following the service cremation will take place at the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

Richard E. "Pinky" Norris, 67, of East Stroudsburg died Sunday in his home. He was the husband of Esther (Silfee) Norris.
He was a quality control inspector for Instrument Specialities, Delaware Water Gap, for six years. Before that he was a foreman at the former Trumatic Machine and Tool Co., East Stroudsburg, for five years, and a quality control inspector at the former Ronson Corp., Delaware Water Gap, for 27 years.
Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Leonard R. and Kathryn (Walters) Norris.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Wife; daughter, Patricia A. Smith of Stroudsburg; sons, Kenneth E., Richard R. and Jack E., all of Shawnee on Delaware, and John E. of East Stroudsburg; sister, Dorothy Beers of Easton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

TOTOWA - Peter James Hascup, 91, of Totowa, died March 3, 2010.
Born in New Haven, Conn., he lived in Totowa for most of his life. He worked for Curtis-Wright, Woodridge, for many years before retiring at age 58. Hascup was in the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC). He enjoyed hiking and in his younger years, he climbed Mt. Rainier. He was a member of Passaic County Totowa Seniors, Totowa. He was an avid runner and ran in the Senior Olympics, rating Top 10 in the country in his age group. In addition he was a World War II Navy veteran.
Husband of the late and former Mary Seaman (2000). Father of Melody Capo and her husband Joseph of Woodland Park and Mary Anne Fucetola of Totowa. Father in law of the late Ralph E. Fucetola. Grandfather of Ralph J. Fucetola of Totowa. Brother of Dorothy Dalenberg of West Virginia. Survivors include several nieces and nephews and his caregiver, Hermenia Jackson.

Mr. Fucetola, who died Tuesday in St. Joseph's Hospital of Wayne, was a construction supervisor with Fucetola Brothers in North Arlington for 35 years before retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Nutley Lodge 25 F&AM and the Arlington Lanes Bowling Club in North Arlington.
Mr. Fucetola also was a session member of Wayne Presbyterian Church.
Born in Newark, he lived in Lyndhurst before moving to Totowa 29 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Anne; a son, Ralph J.; his mother, Mrs. Edith Roppolo; a brother, Paul, and sisters, Mrs. Jeannie Scepaguerccio and Ellen.
