John C. Boyer, 69, an Ellsworth township farmer and former school teacher, died at his home in Glasgow (Barren Co.), Kentucky, Nov. 30, following a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in failing health for 10 years. Mr. Boyer was born in Ellsworth township, Aug. 29, 1881, a son of Norman J. and Mary Brown Boyer. He attended the Canfield Normal school and taught in area schools. He was a member of the Ellsworth Methodist church and Ellsworth Grange. Surviving are his wife, the former Linda Parrish, whom he married in 1927, and two sisters, Miss Flossie J. and Miss Clara W. Boyer, both of Ellsworth Twp. A brother, Hugh N. Boyer, died last year. Funeral services were held Saturday in Salem, and interment made in Ellsworth cemetery.
