Mrs. Alice Gifford
BANGOR, Feb 13 – Mrs. Alice Gifford, 84, who fell in her home and broke her hip on Feb 3, died at 4 a.m. today at the Van Buren County hospital at Hartford. She had lived in Bangor the past 20 years.
Mrs Gifford was born July 31, 1868 in Wilson, N.Y., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Drinkwater. Her husband, Bird, died in 1931.
Surviving are a brother, Bert Drinkwater of Florida, and two sisters, Miss Kate Drinkwater of Chicago and Mrs. Marian Johnson of Decatur, Ill.
The body is at the Stafford funeral home here. Funeral arrangements were incomplete this morning.

Gifford Rites Set
BANGOR, Feb. 14 – Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Gifford, 84, who died Friday morning , will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Stafford funeral hoe. The Rev. John Cermak, pastor of the Simpson Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Arlington Hill cemetery.
