Elvene E. Kresge
Elvene E. Kresge, 63, of Saylorsburg, passed away Wednesday, June 22, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
Born Feb. 22, 1942, in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jasper L. and Gladys E. (Land) Adams. She lived in the area all of her life.
She had worked as an assembler for Ronson Corp., East Stroudsburg; as a waitress at the Elks Club, East Stroudsburg; and then owned and operated a restaurant in Phelps, N.Y.
Elvene had great interest and love for her family, their endeavors and travels.
Surviving are her partner of more than 30 years, Kathleen Fehr; one daughter, Malinda Brodt and her husband, Jack, of Stroudsburg; one son, Todd Kresge and his wife, Kelly, of Stroudsburg; two brothers, William Adams and his wife, Ruth, of Stroudsburg, and Jeff Adams of Scranton; two sisters, Shirley Crosby of Clifton Springs, N.Y., and Jean Adams of Haines City, Fla.; one grandson, Craig Brodt of Stroudsburg; one granddaughter, Tiffany Brodt of Stroudsburg; many nieces and nephews; and former husband, Lowell Kresge of Stroudsburg. She was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Tuthill.
Graveside services and burial will take place at noon Friday, June 24, in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. Cremation will be held at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 400, Kansas City, MO 64114-3367.
