Mrs. Helen Kirman and Mr. Ernest John Kleppe were married in a quiet ceremony Thursday noon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence A. Hill on Mark Twain ave. The Rev. T. H. Kerstetter of the Episcopal church officiated at the service.
The vows were exchanged before a fire place banked with greens. An arrangement of red gladioli and ivy stood on the mantel and red roses and baskets of gladioli decorated the rooms of the home.
The bride wore a cocoa brown dress with white accessories and a corsage of orchids. Her matron of honor, Mrs. Lawrence A. Hill, wore a green and gold afternoon frock and a corsage of orchids. Mr. Hill was the best man.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Hill Home, with refreshments served from a lace-covered table. The wedding cake was surrounded by garlands of gladioli and fern.
Mr. and Mrs. Kleppe left for a short trip to the California coast and will reside on Moana lane on their return.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Kleppe are members of pioneer Nevada families. They belong the to Nevada White Hats riding group and take an active part in the organization. A rancher, Mr. Kleppe is a member of the Washoe county commissioners.
