Janet McLean Cueman, 85, Port Charlotte, died July 8, 1997.
She was born July 7, 1912, in Paterson, N.J., and came to Port Charlotte 25 years ago from New Jersey. A teacher, she sang with the North Port Chorale and was the accompanist for the Holiday Park Chorus.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce C. Barrett of Chatham, N.J.; a sister, Minnie M. Steenstra of Wayne, N.J.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be in New Jersey. Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home is in charge.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Charlotte/DeSoto Chapter, P.O. Box 510042, Punta Gorda, FL 33951.
