Mrs. F.M. Kleppe Dies in Oakland
Former Resident of This Section
Mrs. Dorothy Kleppe, member of a well known western Nevada family, died yesterday at her home in Oakland following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Kleppe, born in the northwest, came to Reno as a girl when her parents settled on the Baker ranch east of Sparks. She was educated at the North Truckee school and the Reno high school. Later she married Fred M. Kleppe when he was associated with the Humphrey-Moffet interests here, and lived in Reno for several years. They moved to Oakland a number of years ago, where Mr. Kleppe is an official of the Moffett Packing company, and had resided there since.
Surviving besides her husband are two children, Patricia and Fred M., Kleppe, jr., three sisters, Mrs. Irene Anderson and Mrs. Nellie Kleppe of Reno and Mrs. Fred Hodge of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Harold and Herman Baker of Sparks and an aunt, Mrs. Kate Meffley of Reno.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced but will probably occur in Oakland with burial in a Berkeley, Calif., mausoleum where a daughter is buried.
